Functions & Event Supervisor

Essential Catering & Events is currently looking for an experienced, events professional to join our friendly team. We are offering a casual role and will consider part-time for the right candidate. There is a reasonable amount of working flexibility with this role with shifts ranging across all days of the week, with penalty rates paid on evenings and weekends.

We are looking for fun loving professionals, who take pride in the experience that their guests receive, who are proud of the epic dinner parties they throw!

Essential Catering and Events has gone from strength to strength in Victoria's catering and events industry over the last 17 years. We are a boutique caterer that provides exceptional catering at venues and events.

We manage a range of stunning wedding and event spaces across Victoria – in Melbourne and The Yarra Valley as well as working with a range of businesses and organisations both locally and in Melbourne's CBD and surrounds .

About The Role:

The position is responsible for delivering our awesome events

Managing your event staff

Relationship management – managing our loyal customers and ensuring the highest levels of customer service

Responsible for ensuring our standards and procedures are followed

Responsible for identifying staff training needs and assisting with on the job training of our event team

Some weekend availability is required

Our head office is located in Bayswater North and we work out of a variety of venues across the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, so shifts could be at any location.

About You:

You like to work in an environment that is positive and enthusiastic

You have a good understanding of the events industry from catering or a hotel background

You will have an Australian Driver’s License

You love working in a friendly team environment

You have an eye for detail and an appreciation of great food and beverages
