Due to an increase in visitation to the region, we require a casual employee to assist our growing Cellar Door team.
We are seeking confident applicants who display a natural ability to communicate with a broad range of people. Ideally an outgoing personality with an interest in wine and a proven ability as a quick learner. The successful candidate will also be proactive during quietier days and have the confidence to work alone as required. The Cellar Door sales position includes greeting guests, managing a booking system, offering wine tastings, communicating with all our customers (phone and face to face), prepping food, making and serving food platters and pizza, clearing and cleaning dishes, retail sales, filling orders, promoting our wine club, assisting with stock management and general cleaning as required.
The successful candidate will be working directly with the business owners and will understand that by working for a small business there may be small tasks that fall outside the immediate job description that need to be completed.
This position is required to work on Saturdays as well as Sundays as required and a potential week day for the right candidate.
Training on the wines and wine tasting process is provided.
Key Skills:
Excellent communication skills and an ability to establish a strong rapport and to "tell a story"

An interest in wine
Highly developed customer service skills
A flexible attitude to work in the kitchen or on the sales floor
Ability to use an ipad and payment system as well as handle money
Attention to detail
A team player
Have enthusiasm for learning about Munari Wines products and the winemaking process
Key Accountabilities:
Deliver a complete customer experience to cellar door patrons including tourists, locals and industry professionals
Conduct wine tastings and sales
Manage a booking system and table reservations plan
Take payments & understand the POS software
Promote wine club membership to visitors, sign new members
Undertake daily housekeeping duties to maintain the cellar door appearance
Clean and hand polish tasting glasses
Restock the cellar door (some heavy lifting is required)
Pick, pack and dispatch wine orders for online orders as required
Engage all guests to ensure they are happy with their visit, thank and invite them to return.
Required:
Previous experience in a customer facing role
Responsible Service of Alcohol training (RSA)
For the right candidate we are willing to wait while you obtain an RSA at your own cost
Physical and other requirements
This role involves:
Moderate frequency of lifting heavy objects
Standing for long periods of time
