About the role
This position provides a professional labour relations consultancy and advisory service to Public Transport Authority (PTA) management. It contributes to the development, coordination, and implementation of labour relations policies, procedures, practices, and approaches that align with the PTA’s strategic objectives.
The role supports PTA management by promoting and facilitating understanding of labour relations policy and practice, and researching, promoting strategic, innovative approaches to meet organisational goals. It involves investigating and implementing strategic and proactive labour relations initiatives, liaising with employee associations and Government agencies, and representing the PTA in mediations, negotiations and hearings.
About You!
To excel in this role, you should possess:
Demonstrated experience in labour relations, including the provision of consultancy services, effective negotiation, and advocacy in relevant forums.
Sound knowledge of current public sector labour relations practices, policies, trends, and emerging issues.
Well-developed written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to resolve labour relations conflicts and work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
Sound analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and advise on the role and application of industrial instruments and assist with the development of innovative solutions to workplace issues.
Effective organisational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
