About the role
Are you seeking a job that offers a rich variety of tasks? Do you thrive in a challenging and fastpaced work environment while maintaining excellent organisational skills? If so, we may have the ideal position for you in our Planning Support Team.
This role involves providing administrative support to our Development and Land Use Planning section to ensure exceptional customer service, streamline the processing of development applications, and manage associated applications and related administrative tasks.
If you can demonstrate your experience, take initiative to advance team objectives, and possess the necessary qualifications or industry experience for this role, we are waiting to hear from you.
To be considered for this position you will need to:
- Q1. Provide an example of a time when you had to think critically and solve a problem under pressure. What steps did you take, and what was the outcome?
- Q2. Tell me about a situation where you had to manage multiple administrative tasks with tight deadlines. How did you prioritise your work, and what strategies did you use to ensure everything was completed on time?
- Q3. Describe an experience where you worked as part of a team to achieve a common goal. What was your role, and how did you contribute to the team's success?
- Address the essential and desirable criteria of the role as per position description via a cover letter
- Supply relevant certificates and licences
- Attach an up-to-date resume (5 pages maximum) that clearly details your skills & experience as relevant to this position.
- Target questions - answer the target questions - maximum 300 words each question

Other important information
This position is located at Council's Grafton Office, however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future. A probation period applies to this position.
