Your Health General Practice is seeking an experienced medical receptionist to join our team. We are a family owned and operated general practice located in Erindale Chambers in Wanniassa and are looking for a casual medical receptionist to work 2 days per week, with the option to convert to a permanent position.

About us:

Your Health General Practice opened in early July 2025 and provides a range of medical services to the local community, including chronic disease management, general health checks, vaccinations and minor procedures. We currently have 2 part time GPs and are open Monday to Friday.

About the role:

Your role as medical receptionist will involve:

Welcoming patients to the clinic in a friendly and professional manner

Answering the telephone

Scheduling appointments and managing the practice's appointment book

Responding to emails

Processing payments and managing Medicare, DVA and Workcover claims

Handling patient enquiries and liaising with medical staff, patients and their families as required

Scanning and filing documents

Ensuring the waiting room is well-organised and presentable

What we are looking for:

We are looking for someone who is:

Experienced as a medical receptionist in a general practice setting, and in particular working with Best Practice and an understanding of billing through the Medicare Benefit Schedule

Confident with using and learning new computer systems

A good communicator, friendly and with great customer service skills

Reliable

Able to work well independently and as part of a team
