About the Role
The Town of Mosman Park is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Natural Areas Officer to join our Parks and Environment team on a part-time basis. This is a key role in preserving and enhancing the Town’s precious bushland and natural areas.
In this role, you will manage improvement projects, liaise with passionate community volunteers, coordinate contractors, and help bring our environmental management plans to life.
Key Responsibilities
Manage revegetation, weed control and natural area projects in accordance with Management Plans.
Coordinate and supervise contractors, volunteers and environmental groups.
Prepare and manage budgets, procurement, and grant applications.
Promote the Town’s environmental initiatives and support education at community events.
Monitor and report on natural area conditions and project effectiveness.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience managing natural bushland and coordinating contractors or volunteers.
Excellent project management and environmental planning skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Relevant qualifications in horticulture, conservation or parks management (desirable).
