Overview
The Student Life Directorate adopts a whole of institution, evidence-based approach to building a sense of belonging and ensure individual students’ needs are met holistically across the student lifecycle. These services will deliver a successful student experience that focuses on providing high quality services for retention, employability, and personalised support for student success.
Within the Student Life the Psychological Counselling Support team provides a free confidential psychological counselling service for currently enrolled ECU students.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Receptionist/Administrative Officer to join our team as maternity leave coverage for one year. This position works alongside a team of Psychologists and other administrative support and will be part of a professional team environment with streamlined processes and procedures. Working across both the Joondalup and Mount Lawley campuses (the latter of which will transition to the new City Campus early in 2026), this position is required to provide timely, efficient, effective, and highly confidential administrative services.
Key Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in providing proactive, high-level receptionist services in a Mental Health/Allied Health and/or General Practice setting.
- Proven analytical abilities, attention to detail and use of initiative.
- Proficiency in computerized systems, specifically clinical/medical applications (including appointment booking software) and Microsoft Office.
- Focusing on all aspects of customer service to achieve quality outcomes for all parties including internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven understanding and experience of privacy and confidentiality requirements in Allied Health or General Practice settings.
You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry Personal Excellence, and Courage.
Benefits & Remuneration
This is part-time (0.8 FTE) 12 month contract that attracts remuneration of $77,040 to $82,054 pa pro-rata 80% plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
