Who We Are

Business Assist is a Melbourne-based digital marketing agency that specialises in digital marketing and WordPress website development. We take a data-driven, strategic approach to delivering high-ROI marketing solutions for small to medium-sized businesses. With a strong local and offshore team of 25+ experts, we are growing and looking for a Digital Marketing Account Manager to help manage our expanding client base.

The Role

As a Digital Marketing Account Manager, you will:
- Build and manage strong relationships with clients, ensuring they receive elite customer service and measurable results.
- Develop and implement customised digital marketing strategies—including SEO, PPC, social media and conversion rate optimisation.
- Collaborate with our expert onshore and offshore team to ensure campaigns are successfully executed and optimised.
- Analyse campaign performance, prepare monthly reports, and present insights to clients.
- Maintain our internal project management systems to ensure smooth workflow and communication.
- Identify new revenue opportunities and assist the sales team in driving business growth.

What We Are Looking For

2+ years of account management experience

3+ years of hands-on digital marketing experience

A team player who can lead, collaborate, and communicate effectively

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pro-active approach to campaign development and performance

A strategic thinker who is always looking for new ideas

Please note that you will work with 25 clients across varying industries. You will have a digital marketing assistant to provide administration support such as: development of agendas for meetings; developing minutes; organising meetings etc. So your focus will be on these key areas:

Pro-active campaign development (you will be expected to go to client meetings with ideas on how to improve campaign performance)

Hands-on campaign optimisation (you will be expected to make minor “live” changes/optimisations to campaigns during client meetings rather than brief the digital marketing team and wait for them to do the work)

SEO strategy development and implementation (you will be expected to develop SEO strategies and implement some of these yourself)

If it has been a few years since you have been “hands on” in digital marketing, then this role is not for you. Yes, we have experts in each field of digital marketing however this person will be expected to make many minor changes themselves without needing to engage with the digital marketing experts. Examples would be: modifying campaign budgets; analysing Google Ads search terms reports with clients and adding in attractive keywords and adding in negative keywords; Meta data development etc.
