Ipswich Therapy Centre was founded in 2017 by our Managing Director and Principal Occupational Therapist, Debbie Davies. Since then, we have grown to include a passionate team of Occupational Therapists and Support Coordinators who are dedicated to making a difference every day.

About the Role
We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Receptionist to join our growing Allied Health practice based in Ipswich. A willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well within a team are essential for this role and supporting our Occupational Therapists, Support Coordinators and clients.
Key Accountabilities
Answering and screening all incoming phone calls and emails
Greeting all customers and visitors (in person and over the phone) in a warm and professional manner
Processing patient payments and claims (HICAPS, NDIS, Medicare, DVA)
Invoicing and billing
Managing appointments and bookings
Handling referral intake information and preparing client files
Managing our client waitlist
Providing excellent customer service and patient care
Assisting with social media updates
General cleaning duties
Assisting staff with organisation and resourcing
Invoicing and sales of Equipment and services
To be successful in this position, you will bring:
Previous Allied Health reception experience (desirable)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt to customer needs
A friendly, flexible approach and the ability to work well in a team
A high level of initiative and willingness to learn
Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
Strong multitasking and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise in a busy environment
Responsiveness and adaptability in a changing environment
An understanding of people’s rights and confidentiality
A respectful and non‑discriminatory attitude
