The role

As the Financial Controller at Adams Australia Pty Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations and reporting for our company. Based in Toowoomba, QLD, this is a full-time position where you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, as well as providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, budgets, and forecasts

Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal control policies

Analyse financial data and provide insightful recommendations to support business decision-making

Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes

Manage and develop the finance team, providing guidance and mentorship

Collaborate with other employees to improve financial processes and controls

What we're looking for

A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

CPA or CA qualification

Minimum 5 years of experience in a financial role.

Proven track record in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Office suite

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead by example
