The Opportunity:

Our client is a highly reputable construction business with 31 staff in Brisbane. They are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of the entire finance function and work closely with the company owner.

This will be a hands-on position involving transactions work, management accounting, financial accounting and strategic planning.

Onsite position with parking available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and delegate the financial operations of the business, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. There is a support staff member to assist with the transactional work.
• Process monthly payroll with the majority of staff being permanent employees
• Budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
• Oversee the WIP flow
• Preparation and reconciliations of financial accounts
• Attend monthly company meetings providing financial commentary, trends, financial impacts, profitability and cash flow analysis
• Partner with the owner to provide long-term financial strategies
• Strengthen financial accounting procedures and systems

Your Experience:

• CA/CPA qualified
• Positive, adaptable and agile personality
• Tech-savvy; experience with an ERP system is necessary
• Experience within the construction industry is highly regarded
• Stable work history
• Strong communicator who enjoys liaising with internal stakeholders at all levels
• Enjoys being hands on with finance and taking ownership of the entire finance function
