The Opportunity:
Our client is a highly reputable construction business, specializing in the commercial sector.
An amazing opportunity to take ownership of the entire finance function and oversee and report on the financial health of the business. Work with a turnover of circa $80million and 90+ staff. Please note construction industry experience is essential due to specific nuances.
This is a strong support role to the CEO. Onsite position with parking available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all elements of cashflow forecasting, performance analysis and budget development/reviews
- Provision of all financial reporting and analysis by required deadlines.
- Effectively manage cash flow, oversee day-to-day finance and accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable requirements.
- Build and adjust annual budgets for capital expenditure, overhead, and sales targets with consultation from relevant team members.
- Provide financial insights, advice and recommendations to the Leadership team, including specific risks to the Managing Director.
- Monitor project reporting and job costing through relevant software, with a focus on proactive relationship building to support the core functions of the business.
- Ensure compliance with statutory obligations (BAS, IAS, Superannuation, Payroll Tax)
- Assist external accountants with FBT, audits, and QBCC MF reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing including tax, super and other legislative requirements are adhered to
- Proactively lead the finance/accounts team with a focus on high quality, accurate and timely support to internal/external customers whilst ensuring that processes, employees and systems perform efficiently
- Lead the Finance team (currently 2 staff) and ensure all are following processes and procedures to uphold culture and environment.
- Liaising with insurance companies.
- Managing bank loans and working closely with external accountant.
Your Experience:
- CA/CPA qualified
- Positive, adaptable and agile personality
- Tech-savvy; experience with an ERP system is necessary
- Must have experience within the construction/property industry
- Stable work history
- Strong communicator who enjoys liaising with internal stakeholders at all levels
- Enjoys being hands on with finance and taking ownership of the entire finance function
