Are your ready to support community led projects that care for Country and culture? Wadawurrung Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation (WTOAC) is looking for a friendly and organised person to join our team as a Project Liaison & Administration Officer. You’ll help deliver important projects in partnership with the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) making sure they run smoothly and reflect our cultural values.
About the Role
In this role, you will support the coordination of projects across Wadawurrung Country by managing timelines, tasks, and budgets, assisting with grants and reporting, and acting as a key liaison between WTOAC, DEECA, and other partners. You'll help organise meetings, site visits, and cultural monitors while ensuring cultural safety and respect are prioritised. As part of the Corporate Services team, you’ll work closely with project leads, Elders, and the community, maintaining clear records and providing essential behind-the-scenes support.
Key Responsibilities
Support the delivery of community-led projects on Wadawurrung Country
Help apply for and manage grants and funding
Organise meetings, events, and site visits
Provide admin support including scheduling, note-taking, and file management
Be a key link between WTOAC and government partners (like DEECA)
Ensure projects follow cultural protocols and reflect Wadawurrung values
Assist with reporting and keeping projects on track
About You
Organised, reliable, and good at coordinating projects
Strong communicator with great admin skills
Confident working with different teams and partners
Respectful of Aboriginal culture and community
Comfortable using Microsoft Office and digital tools
Bonus if you’ve worked with grants, DEECA, or Aboriginal organisations before
