The Role:

This role will require a natural flair for people management and leadership as well as the ability to knowledge share, teach and mentor, to ensure our Service Department continues to strive to be the best - from a technical & diagnostic repair and service to exceptional customer experience.

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Workshop Controller will be responsible for:

Allocate work according to the technical ability and experience of technicians an apprentices to maximize the repair times for recovery of all labour costs.

Mentoring technicians to identify and assist in their training and development needs and ensure they are meeting their KPIs.

Managing employee rostering, overtime, training, performance management and technician’s daily works.

Engaging with team leaders and factory technical assistance as required.

Scheduling and assigning work to technicians to ensure efficiency and meet weekly and monthly targets.

Ensuring all tooling and equipment are maintained and carrying our regular audits to ensure safety and quality is being maintained.

Ensure all apprentices are receiving adequate training and experience according to their level of experience and time in Apprenticeship.

Maintain and improve product knowledge through reading information bulletins and attending training courses as agreed.

Arrange and document all technical training for Workshop Technicians and Apprentices.
