Take the Lead in Our Workshop Operations:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Diesel Mechanic to manage and operate our workshop, overseeing the maintenance and servicing of our diverse fleet. This role offers the opportunity to work autonomously, with the support of a yardman, in a family-oriented environment.

Mr Pothole and C&H Sweeping are locally owned, family-run businesses with over 35 years of experience in asphalt and associated repairs and mechanical sweeping services. We operate throughout the Perth metro area, from Alkimos to Mandurah, we pride ourselves on our commitment to quality, reliability, and our dedicated team.
Fleet Overview:
15 trucks (Light and Medium Rigid)
9 HAKO Powerboss Armadillo ride-on mechanical sweepers
2 Rosmech Merlin truck-mounted sweepers
3 skid-steers (2 x Bobcat and 1 x Manitou)
Additional support vehicles and equipment (compacters, rollers, blowers etc.)
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day workshop operations, ensuring efficient workflow
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy vehicles and equipment
Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with safety standards
Coordinate and attend to on-site breakdowns within the Perth metro area
Supervise and mentor the yardman assisting in workshop duties
Liaise with management to report on fleet status and maintenance schedules
Qualifications and Experience:
Certificate III in Automotive Diesel Engine Technology or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic
Proven experience in hydraulic systems maintenance and repair
Valid MR or HR driver's license
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage workshop operations
Commitment to workplace safety and compliance
Desirable Attributes:
Experience with mechanical sweepers and asphalt equipment
Familiarity with fleet management systems
Excellent communication and organizational skills
