About the role

The Workshop Controller position will oversee the day to day operations and workflow. This role will be responsible for people management and leadership and ensuring our Service Department continues to strive to be the best – from both a technical & diagnostic and customer experience perspective.

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Workshop Controller will be responsible for:

Allocate work according to the technical ability and experience of technicians

Managing employee rostering, overtime, training and technician’s daily works.

Engaging with team leaders and factory technical assistance as required.

Ensuring all tooling and equipment are maintained and carrying out regular audits to ensure safety and quality is being maintained.

Ensure all apprentices are receiving adequate training and experience

Conduct quality control checks to ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with industry and safety regulations.

Previous experience in a workshop controller or similar role
