The position:
As the Production Controller - Gyrostabilizers, you will play a pivotal role in managing our mechanical and electrical assembly hall, staff and equipment to ensure production schedules, quality standards and cost expectations are achieved. You will lead a team of skilled technicians thru job allocation, overseeing equipment maintenance, and implement process improvements to optimize productivity.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of mechanics and electricians to ensure production schedules are met.
Control testing regimes to ensure the quality of in process stock and final product pre delivery to our customers.
Operate VEEM Ltd proprietary ERP system to generate assembly job packages, stock and serial number control, factory acceptance reporting and restocking of completed assemblies ready for sale.
Work collaboratively with our Purchasing and Engineering teams
Coordinate production equipment maintenance and calibration according to the preventive scheduled programs.
Ensure adherence to and develop of VEEM Work Instructions and Procedures to drive the world best practices.
Implement and enforce safety protocols per VEEM Policies, ensuring all employees adhere to established safety standards and guidelines
Maintain a safe, happy and reliable work environment
Identify and implement daily improvement opportunities to enhance production processes.
Key Attributes:
Graduate qualification in Automotive Mechanics, Mechanical Fitting or similar engineering qualification
Experience in mechanical building or manufacturing supervision
Good understanding of quality management systems
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines.
Honesty and integrity, ambitious and motivated
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
