Lead Retail Growth in Queensland

TRIO Group is looking for a high-performing Business Development Manager to take charge of our Queensland retail operations. This role is ideal for a driven individual who thrives in the field, builds strong customer relationships, and can lead a small team to execute national retail strategies at a local level.

What You’ll Be Doing

Own the QLD retail territory, working closely with IHG and other independent hardware retailers

Lead and support a small team (currently 1 x BDM Retail and 1 x Merchandiser) to drive retail outcomes

Execute head office-led retail programs, including range rollouts, planograms, promotional campaigns, and pricing implementation

Strengthen store relationships through regular field visits, business reviews, and product support

Drive state-based execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring consistency and alignment with national objectives

Track performance and activity using CRM, Microsoft Teams, and Power BI, and report results monthly to the National Sales Manager

Mentor and develop your team, helping them grow in capability and performance

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in territory or state-based retail sales and account management, ideally in hardware, building materials, or trade

Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor a small field team

Strong communication and customer relationship skills

Self-motivated, organised, and focused on delivering outcomes

Comfortable using digital tools: CRM systems, Power BI, Microsoft Teams

Must be Brisbane area based

Passionate about being in the field and working directly with stores
