An established agency is seeking an Underwriter to join their supportive, inclusive and friendly team in Melbourne, focusing on financial lines for engineering risks.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage an existing portfolio while focusing on growth and development opportunities.

Handle underwriting referrals and collaborate closely with other underwriters.

Represent the agency at underwriting conferences and industry events to promote their brand and expertise.

Build and nurture relationships with brokers to expand the PI book.

Work closely with the team to identify and implement business improvements.

Develop strong relationships with key industry stakeholders.

Uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism to maintain and enhance the company’s reputation.

About you:

Minimum 3+ years of Financial Lines underwriting experience across engineering risks

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills

Excellent verbal and written communication

Excellent time management and organisation skills

Confident negotiation skills

Client facing experience
