About the Opportunity:

This is a senior accounting role within our growing finance team, responsible for the financial stewardship of key operating entities. You will be instrumental in managing the financial complexities of a business undergoing rapid expansion and transformation. With a focus on inventory, costing, and revenue recognition, this role is critical to ensuring our financial operations are robust and scalable.You will take ownership of the core financial and statutory reporting for a key operating entity and its group of holding companies.

What You Will Do

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be the bedrock of our financial integrity. Your role will be a blend of technical accounting, process improvement, and strategic support.

Financial & Statutory Reporting: Take full ownership of preparing timely and accurate monthly, half-yearly, and annual financial statements for multiple entities.

Complex Consolidations: Manage the consolidation of our multi-entity and holding company structure, including navigating multi-currency transactions and eliminations.

Technical Accounting: Be the subject matter expert for technical accounting queries, including the implementation and maintenance of lease accounting standards (AASB 16) and managing the Property, Plant & Equipment (PPE) register.

Tax Compliance: Take ownership of direct tax obligations, including the preparation and lodgement of tax returns and ensuring compliance across the group.

Audit Leadership: Execute the end-to-end audit process for your entities, being the primary point of contact for our external auditors and ensuring a smooth and efficient engagement.

Balance Sheet Integrity: Perform and review complex balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are accurate and substantiated. This includes clearing intercompany accounts with HR, IT, and other departments.

Process Transformation: Proactively identify inefficiencies in our current processes and drive the implementation of improvements to support our fast-paced, acquisitive environment.

Systems & Data Management: Utilise our financial consolidation software, to its full potential, managing the flow of data for loans, interest, and other financial instruments.

What You Will Bring

CA/CPA qualification with a strong foundation in technical accounting, ideally from an audit training and background.

Demonstrated experience in a complex, multi-entity environment, ideally within a listed or private equity-backed company.

A hands-on approach and the ability to thrive in the detail while understanding the broader commercial implications.

A resilient and proactive mindset, comfortable with ambiguity and a rapid pace of change.

Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to partner with stakeholders across the business and challenge the status quo.

A natural curiosity and a drive to continuously learn and improve.
