Underwriting Specialist

🌟 What You'll Be Doing

• Own and develop the in-house tele-interviewing and pre-assessment function
• Use your underwriting lens to pre-empt potential loadings, exclusions, or declines
• Liaise directly with insurers and underwriters, challenging decisions where appropriate
• Advocate for clients, ensuring risk is well-articulated and policies are placed optimally
• Support advisers with technical pre-assessment insights and guidance
• Support team member by providing advice regarding tele-interviews and where to provide further enquiry

💬 About You

• 3 + years of experience in life insurance underwriting in either group or risk
• Deep understanding of the underwriting process and risk assessment
• Confident, warm, and articulate communicator strong time management and able to self-manage workflow
• Tech-savvy and comfortable working independently and remotely
• A client-first mindset with a proactive, problem-solving attitude
