About the Opportunity
Bears Auto Group is expanding, and we’re looking for a hands-on Production Manager to lead day-to-day operations at one of our fast-paced vehicle repair facilities.

What You'll Be Doing
You’ll take ownership of the entire repair workflow, ensuring vehicles are repaired safely, efficiently, and to a high standard—while leading a team and maintaining strong communication with customers and internal management.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Workflow
Lead, coach, and support a team of automotive technicians and trades
Assign jobs and manage repair schedules to ensure timely completions
Ensure the iBody management system is consistently updated with accurate and current job data
Ensure repair processes are being followed and identify any issues or inefficiencies slowing production
Operations & Compliance
Oversee the daily operation of the workshop
Organise and coordinate sublets to ensure smooth job progression
Arrange parts inventory and procurement, including ordering supplement parts as needed
Work closely with the Site Manager and the business’s Operations Manager to ensure site efficiency
Assist with vehicle handovers on occasion
Add additionals through iBody where necessary
Ensure WHS compliance and maintain a safe working environment
Customer Experience
Be a key point of contact for customers and work providers
Provide accurate repair updates and timeframes
Handle any concerns or issues professionally and promptly
Quality Control
Conduct inspections to ensure repairs meet company and industry standards
Drive continuous improvement and maintain high customer satisfaction
What We're Looking For
Must-Have Skills & Experience
Experience in automotive smash repairs (smash or hail)
Strong leadership and team supervision ability
Organised and proactive with excellent time management
Clear communicator, both with customers and technicians
Confident decision maker under pressure
Nice to Have
Trade qualifications or hands-on repair experience
Prior experience in a similar production/site management role
Exposure to Ibody or similar estimating software or repair tracking systems
