We are crazy about mushrooms and love growing them. We are the largest mushroom producer in NSW and operate from a food manufacturing facility based in Londonderry, close to Penrith. Our produce is supplied to all major Australian supermarket chains, as well as independent grocers and a range of food industry stakeholders.

We are looking for an energetic Production Manager to lead our packaging and logistics team.

As part of a growing business the role will need someone with a willingness to learn and accept new challenges. Your mission? is to optimise and enhance our production operation and at the same time continue to mentor and build team skills and capabilities. This role will manage the day-to-day production activities associated with out packaging and logistics team, leading a team of approximately 35 people who are split into 4 areas, and ensuring that our processes run smoothly, efficiently and safely.

This is a hands-on role and includes;

Managing the effective co-ordination of activities within the Post-Harvest team to ensure that customer expectations are met. This includes managing two cool room areas with process lines that wrap and weigh product. You would need to ensure clear and regular communication with internal and external customers to ensure the on-time fulfillment of customer orders with a focus on managing people, the processes, safety as well as labour cost. This role is hands on and often requires the Manager to step in and get involved with the day-to-day tasks that the team is responsible for.

About you;

Excellent communication skills

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a managerial position, preferably as Production Manager

Knowledge of WHS legislation and requirements

Expertise in motivating and managing staff

Confidence in decision making

Good delegator

Good problem solver

Good computer literacy

This role is Sunday - Thursday (Off on Friday & Saturday)
