The organisations bespoke learning and communication packages are developed using a unique mixture of human centred design, coupled with a deep understanding of adult learning methodology, resulting in simplified messaging, increased uptake and an immersive experience that has resulted in real change for some of the world’s leading organisations.
As part of the company’s ongoing growth strategy, there is currently an exciting opportunity to join this high growth, people focused organisation in the role of L&D Partnerships / Business Development Manager.
The role
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will play a critical role in continuing to grow the company’s professional services offering in high-risk sectors such as construction/infrastructure, utilities, transport and FMCG.
More specifically, you will be involved in the following;
- Engaging with current and prospective customers to build authentic, long-term relationships, while providing industry insights;
- Uncovering potential opportunities for the company’s services through the development and nurturing of leads, conducting discovery. meetings and presentations and representing the company at industry events and tradeshows;
- Building and delivering high quality proposals that address the challenges of clients;
- Contract negotiation and closing, along with the seamless handover of projects to the company’s inhouse development team; and
- Keeping up to date customer records through hub spot and managing projects through a sales pipeline.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will most likely come from one of two backgrounds. Firstly, you may be in a similar Business Development or client facing role for a professional services organisation where you’re providing services and solutions to senior HR, L&D or safety leaders. Alternatively, you are currently in a mid to senior Learning & Development role, and you have enjoyed working with internal business managers, however you’re now looking to expand your area of influence into a broader external client base, with more commercial responsibility.
In addition, you will also possess the following traits and skills;
- You’re a people person who is consultative by nature and you’re motivated by creating “light bulb” moments and solving problems;
- You’re a confident and engaging communicator, with a warm and genuine style and you enjoy connecting with people;
- Your curious by nature, possess strong listening skills and you enjoy understanding what makes businesses tick;
- You’re highly motivated and self-driven, however you enjoy being part of a team and collaborating;
- You’re creative and possess a strategic mindset; and
- You possess sound IT skills and you’re comfortable with CRM or similar systems.
