Our Client

Our customer is a food manufacturing business that, for 30 years has specialized in, but is not limited to, producing crumbed chicken products for the local and national market. Located south of the river, they are committed to their people, their products and their customers. They are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join their team on a full-time basis.

What Your Day May Look Like

Reporting to the Production Manager, as Production Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising the production related aspects of the business. You will oversee the day-to-day production operations of the business, bringing cohesion, improvement and efficiency to all production aspects of the business. You will develop, maintain and implement plans with approval from the Production Manager to ensure quality standards are sustained and excelled. You will manage and motivate all production personnel. The role will see effective planning, coordinating, organizing, monitoring, training and decision making to meet and exceed the production targets, while maintaining and promoting the highest OHS&E standards at all time.

Here's the Specific Duties of This Role:

Effective management of tray sealing and retail ready lines.

Ensuring production, monitoring and OH&S protocols are maintained to the highest standard at all times.

Assisting Production / Operation Manager with the development, maintenance and implementation of plans and strategies to improve production operations.

Leading, driving, managing, motivating and inspiring your team.

Reporting to superiors on the condition of production equipment used.

Effective staff rostering.

Achieving production targets and KPI’s.

Assisting with adhoc duties as required by the business.

Who We’re Looking For

You will have recent experience working as a Production Supervisor in a food manufacturing or processing environment. You will have experience leading and supervising a food production team. You will have recent experience serving major retailers and understanding their quality requirements. Experience working in meat or high-risk food processing will also be highly regarded. You’ll Be the Perfect Candidate If You Have:

Experience in management and operation of retail ready lines for major retailers.

Through understanding of own brand requirements and experience servicing major retailers.

Experience in food manufacturing, ideally in a meat production environment.

Outstanding leadership skills.

Good understanding of workplace OHS&E standards.

Physically fit and able to undertake all duties of the role.

The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Have great communication skills.

Ability to prioritize, problem solve and multitask.

Ability to follow policies, processes and procedures.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

Competency with Outlook, Word & Excel.

Basic understanding of business commercials in a food environment.
