TLH Recruitment is proudly representing a manufacturer of fresh foods based in O'Connor, they are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Production Team Leader to join their team! This opportunity is a temp to perm opportunity for the right person
This role will involve assessing all efficiencies, downtime and further improvements for products coming off the lines in the production areas.
HOURS OF WORK
6am start
Working 5 days per week - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday. Friday and Saturday
Responsibilities:
- Consistently achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) across safety, quality, cost, throughput, and labour efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and audit-ready factory environment at all times.
- Oversee the efficient and timely flow of goods through all stages of production.
- Conduct daily pre-start checks in collaboration with the maintenance team to ensure machinery is fully operational prior to shift commencement.
- Provide strong, effective leadership that inspires, motivates, and drives team performance.
- Champion a safety-first culture, prioritising the health and wellbeing of all team members.
- Ensure all staff receive adequate training, supervision, and support to perform their duties safely and competently.
- Enforce strict compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- HSC preferred
- Previous food manufacturing experience
- Completed GMP training course
Knowledge, Experience and Essential Personal Requirements:
- At least 3 years previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferable FMCG
- Attention to detail – can adhere to systems and processes.
- Good written and communication skills.
- Can work well under pressure, self-motivated and respectful
- Good judgement and decision making – ability to analyse and solve problems.
- “Action orientated” and ability to effectively deal with multiple priorities
- Able to teach and develop others
- Displays initiative and creativity
