About this position

Are you ready to lead a team that’s making a real impact in sustainability and waste management? The City of Gosnells is seeking a proactive and experienced Supervisor Waste – Resource Recovery & Contracts to oversee our resource recovery services and bulk waste operations.

In this hands-on leadership role, you will supervise a team of 11 staff and manage bulk waste contractors to ensure efficient, high-quality waste collection services. You will play a key part in maintaining fleet standards, responding to illegal dumping, and improving operational systems.

This is a permanent position and is based at the City’s Operations Centre in Maddington.

What we are looking for

To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate:

Technical knowledge and experience in operating various waste collection vehicles

Sound financial and contract monitoring skills.

Strong leadership and team management capabilities

Excellent organisational and administrative abilities

Intermediate computer skills, particularly in the MS Office suite

Essential requirements

HR driver’s licence.

Current Police Clearance (less than three months old) Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.

Desirable requirements

Certificate IV or higher qualification in Waste Management, Frontline Management, or related field.

Prior experience working within the waste industry with proven experience in a supervisory role.
