At My Hospital Foundation, we’re working wonders for families across Mackay and the wider region. As the charity of choice for our district, we deliver vital fundraising support to Mackay Base Hospital and other public hospitals throughout the Mackay health service area.
Government funding provides essential health services - we go further. Our mission is to bridge the gap by funding critical equipment, resources and enhancements that improve the quality of care for patients and the working environment for our dedicated healthcare staff.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Managing Executive Officer is responsible for the strategic, operational, and financial leadership of the Foundation. This hands-on executive role calls for a dynamic, forward-thinking leader who thrives on both vision and execution.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the implementation of strategic and operational plans
Managing a dedicated team and volunteer network with clarity, care and accountability
Overseeing budgets, forecasting, and performance reporting
Driving innovative revenue streams through events, corporate partnerships and grants
Enhancing brand recognition and community engagement
Building and maintaining strong relationships with donors, sponsors and stakeholders
Ensuring compliance, governance and reporting in line with the Hospital Foundations Act
About You
You're a purpose-driven leader with strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence across sectors. Your collaborative style, energy and professionalism will help drive real outcomes for the Foundation and the community we serve.
You’ll bring:
Executive or senior leadership experience within health, community, fundraising or not-for-profit sectors
Financial literacy and a proven record of improving performance and sustainability
Experience in developing innovative funding streams and income diversification
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
A collaborative leadership approach that inspires teams and partners
A deep commitment to community impact, especially in regional settings
