Experienced Medical Receptionist required for busy General Practice

Tandem Health is a family-owned General Practice in Labrador. We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Senior Medical Receptionist for 3-4 shifts per week. Must be able to do close shift (until 5:30pm).

The role encompasses a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

Welcoming patients and visitors

Handling phone inquiries and messages

Scheduling and confirming appointments

Keeping the reception and waiting areas tidy

Managing Medicare billings and payments

Performing faxing, filing, and mailing tasks

Upholding confidentiality of all patient information

Ensuring operations adhere to established policies and procedures

Minor cleaning duties

The successful candidate will:

Exhibit a friendly, enthusiastic demeanor, prioritising patient care as the first point of contact for the medical center

Prior experience in a General Practice setting is preferred

Demonstrate strong organisational skills and reliability

Pay meticulous attention to detail

Collaborate effectively within a team to maintain smooth operations

Be adept at multitasking

Possess their own reliable transportation

Preferably have experience with Best Practice Software

Preferably have knowledge of Tyro

Preferably have knowledge of Medicare MBS and Workcover

Complete any required training as mandated by the employer
