As a result we are looking to expand our Accounts team. We are currently looking for an Assistant Company Accountant who can take charge of the Accounts Team and be responsible for the delivery of financial excellence.

This is an amazing opportunity for a hands on accountant who will be reporting directly to the CFO

The role requires the successful candidate to be able to perform the following responsibilities:

• Oversee accounts receivable/payable and payroll functions (payroll is contracted to a 3rd party)
• Deep understanding of weekly and month-end processes and reporting requirements.
• Cash flow management and bank reconciliations.
• Preparation of BAS.
• Assist with international purchasing and payments
• Maintain and update the fixed asset register.

The ideal candidate:

• Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting (CPA qualified preferred)
• Must be disciplined and strive to meet deadlines
• Must be an excellent communicator with strong written and verbal skills
• Must have a good understanding of Accounting software - SAP experience preferred with knowledge of MYOB and Xero a must.
• Have strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Have a key sense of accuracy and high attention to detail
• Have at least 5 years' experience in a similar role
