About the role

As the Functions Manager at Springwood Country Club, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the execution of all events and functions. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless experience for each client, from initial inquiry through to event delivery. This full-time role is based on-site in Springwood, NSW.

What you'll be doing

Manage the end-to-end coordination of all functions and events, including weddings, corporate conferences, golf days and more

Liaise closely with clients to understand their needs and develop customised event plans to exceed their expectations

Manage and lead a team of events staff, ensuring high standards of service delivery

Oversee the set-up and pack-down of all events, collaborating with the catering and facilities teams

Identify new event opportunities and implement strategies to grow the functions business

Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors

What we're looking for

Proven experience as an Events or Functions Manager, ideally in a similar hospitality or tourism setting

Exceptional client relationship management and event coordination skills

Strong leadership abilities, with experience managing and developing a high-performing team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, colleagues and suppliers

Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Flexibility around roster, available weekends and some evenings.
