The Botany View Hotel is looking for a permanent Full-time Duty Manager to join and lead our BVH team into an exciting new era for our beloved venue.

Nestled at the vibrant end of King Street, the Botany View Hotel has been a staple favourite of the Inner West since 1868. Known for our live music 7-nights a week, leafy laid-back Rooftop, Pool tables and Lounge areas, BVH combines old-school pub charm with a fresh funky energy.

Who we’re looking for:

A Duty Manager like no other! You combine strong leadership skills, solid industry knowledge and an optimistic attitude; all whilst exuding natural charisma and taking initiative every shift. You’re calm under pressure, in fact- you thrive in it, meticulously organised and always one step ahead, ensuring seamless day to day operations and compliancy. Understanding that the role isn’t for the faint-hearted, you need to be a studious person who is truly passionate about hospitality. By setting forth an example- you motivate, inspire and encourage the team in curating and delivering outstanding experiences for our patrons and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage all day-to-day operations

· Supervise the BVH team and support your colleagues, fostering skill development, high performance and reward/ recognition programs

· Precise Cash handling and efficient reporting

· Operate with a controlled sense of urgency and punctuality

· Respectfully communicate and implement policies and procedures

· Ensure compliance with licencing Laws, Work Health & Safety and other Statutory regulations

· Strive to provide exceptional customer service and community inclusivity

· Flexibility and availability for open, mid, close, weekend & Public holiday shifts

· Maintain and monitor stock levels/control and ordering

· Positively and enthusiastically promote the venue/events to attract and retain customers

What you’ll bring:

· Valid RSA & RCG qualification (essential)

· AMC qualification (completed or willing to complete)

· Professional presentation, trustworthiness, responsibility and dedication

· Proven experience and proficiency managing a team in a fast-paced environment

· Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Managerial or Supervisory Role in a licensed venue

· Tough skin and a big heart – Dispute resolution, Profitable hospitality, crowd control and mentoring. Handle all escalated customer queries and complaints
