Be Part of Something New and Meaningful!
At Caption by Hyatt Central Sydney, we’re rethinking hospitality—putting community, sustainability, and self-expression at the heart of everything we do. Designed to be of the community, not just in it, Caption by Hyatt Central Sydney will be the first of its kind in Australia, offering a vibrant, people-first experience that’s as much about connection as it is about comfort.
We’re looking for an Assistant Night Manager (Part-Time) to join our Front Office pre-opening team—someone who brings energy, curiosity, and a hands-on approach to creating unforgettable guest moments. This is a full-time role for someone who thrives on collaboration, leads by example, and wants to build something meaningful from the ground up.
Care Connects Us
At Hyatt, we care for people so they can be their best. This purpose guides everything we do—from how we connect with guests to how we work together as a team. It’s what drives our culture of care, creativity, and belonging.
Join a team that is making travel more human, connected, and sustainable. Here, everyone’s role matters, and your individuality is celebrated.
About Caption by Hyatt Central Sydney
Caption by Hyatt Central Sydney is not some basic hotel. Designed to be truly of the community—not just in it—the people make the place here. Our place is yours for the making, where you can do (and be) you. Opening in 2025, Caption by Hyatt Central Sydney will feature 174 colourful, fun & eco-friendly guest rooms along with Talk Shop, our all-day lounge and eatery. Expect authentic experiences in an environment where everyone feels at home.
Be part of something bold, fresh, and just getting started—when the city winds down, we turn it up.
Join the launch team for Australia’s first-ever Caption by Hyatt hotel. As Assistant Night Manager, you’ll play a hands-on role in shaping how this bold new brand comes to life after dark—bringing your expertise to a one-of-a-kind pre-opening journey.
Craft the overnight guest experience.
From kiosk check-in and late-night arrivals to safety protocols and lobby flow, you’ll help design seamless and guest-led experiences that shine at night—when great hospitality matters most.
Lead from the front—even when it’s late.
As Assistant Night Manager, you won’t be tied to a desk. You’ll be the go-to host, problem-solver, and brand ambassador—engaging with guests, guiding the team, and ensuring the vibe stays alive well after sunset.
Build your career with a global hospitality leader.
This is more than a night role—it’s a career move with real progression. Hyatt offers world-class learning, growth pathways, and international opportunities. Start with Caption, grow wherever you want to go.
About the Role
As Assistant Night Manager (Part-Time) at Caption by Hyatt Central Sydney, you’ll be more than a point of contact— you’ll be the heartbeat of the hotel after hours
Reporting to the Front Office Manager and working closely with the Duty Managers, you’ll lead overnight operations from pre-opening through to nightly delivery. This pivotal role oversees the guest journey during the most independent and critical hours of the day.
During Pre-opening, you’ll be hands-on in shaping our hotel’s overnight service standards—supporting everything from system setup and training to cost control and safety protocols. You’ll also help foster a vibrant overnight culture aligned with Caption’s fresh, guest-led philosophy and Hyatt’s purpose of care.
Once our doors open, you’ll step confidently into the role of overnight leader—visible, approachable, and in control. Whether welcoming late arrivals, handling emergencies, or resolving guest concerns, you’ll create a safe, inclusive, and energetic space for both guests and overnight colleagues. You’ll also own the critical functions of the night: conducting audits, reconciling financials, preparing reports, and ensuring systems are ready for the next day.
This part-time role offers a minimum of two fixed overnight shifts per week, with flexibility to pick up additional shifts as required. You may also be called upon to support daytime Duty Manager coverage when available.
If you’re detail-driven, people-focused, and ready to grow your leadership experience in a dynamic environment, this is your chance to be part of something bold from day one.

Stays composed under pressure, resolving guest issues with a solution-focused mindset and strong sense of ownership.
Has a genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences that surprise, delight, and exceed expectations—especially during quieter hours.
Builds strong, respectful partnerships with Housekeeping, Engineering, and F&B, and is always ready to jump in and assist.
