About the opportunity

NSW Health Pathology is embarking on Fusion – a bold, transformative five-year program set to reshape the future of pathology services across New South Wales. Fusion is part of the broader Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR) Program being undertaken by NSW Health - one of the most ambitious and complex health technology undertakings in the state’s history. Co-funded by NSW Treasury and NSW Health Pathology, Fusion will deliver a single Laboratory Information Management System (SWLIMS), Quality Management Information System (QMIS), and consistent HL7 messaging to drive connectivity, accuracy, and efficiency across every corner of our network. This foundational infrastructure will support decision-making, faster turnaround times, and safe, consistent care for every patient.

At the heart of Fusion is a commitment to improving public health outcomes through integration and innovation. By replacing fragmented legacy systems with standardised processes and e-reporting solutions, Fusion will ensure that clinicians have real-time access to pathology information—regardless of where a patient is treated within the NSW Health system. The benefits to patient safety and clinical decision-making are profound: fewer repeat tests, potentially faster diagnoses, and confidence in treatment. From the front lines of pandemic response to everyday care, Fusion will enable NSW Health Pathology to deliver smarter, responsive services that meet the evolving needs of our communities.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Human Resources professional who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and brings a strong background in industrial relations, public sector policy, and organisational change. You’ll be the go-to expert for HR matters across the Fusion Program, championing a proactive and people-centred approach to workforce challenges. If you're ready to influence real, lasting change and leave your mark on one of the state's largest healthcare transformations, we invite you to bring your leadership, expertise and vision to NSW Health Pathology.
