About the role
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is accountable to the Manager Marketing, Business Development and Consumer Engagement for the awareness of SA Pathology services to maintain and look for opportunities to provide equity of access to the community of South Australia. The BDM will work to maintain current referrers of pathology episodes, identify new business opportunities, and promote SA Pathology services within a defined geographical area statewide. This includes engaging with a broad client base including General Practitioners, business owners, specialists, researchers, and commercial/corporate consumers. The BDM is responsible for ensuring alignment to the marketing and business development strategy and will build relationships with key opinion leaders, participate in relevant external and internal working groups, and assist with coordinating field installations, while exceeding consumer’s expectations and providing a consumer centric approach to service delivery. The BDM will employ excellent key account management skills to promote and maintain pathology services to public and private consumers and will support the Manager Marketing, Business Development and Consumer Engagement in identifying possible partnerships with a focus on SA Pathology’s commitment to realise health benefits for all South Australians. The BDM will be at the front line to ensure that consumers are receiving optimum service delivery utilising relationship building skills and a consumer focused, solution-based approach.

Essential Requirements:
- Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
- Working with Children Check
- Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description. SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
