GreaseBoss, an award-winning automated system that leads globally in grease monitoring across asset/fixed plant and mobile equipment, is seeking a Technical Business Development Manager to join our team in the New South Wales Industrial sector, with a primary focus on Mining.
The Business Development Manager at GreaseBoss will be key to our growth. Responsibilities include attracting, nurturing, and closing deals with new and existing customers, ensuring a seamless customer journey while adhering to company expectations, policies, and processes, and collaborating with the executive team.

Duties
Manage and lead business development tasks to attract, nurture, and close deals with new and existing customers delivering profitable, moral and mutual benefits to your customers and GreaseBoss.
Attract new business through a systematic approach and process, this will be 30% of your agreed deliverables.
Manage and expand existing customer business relationships with 70% of your agreed deliverables.
Conduct onboarding and handover, ensure a successful process and implementation of the GreaseBoss system for new customers
Follow and drive continuous improvement on GreaseBoss established sales processes to ensure a consistent residual income stream, customer centric focus that is adhered to and developed to scale.
Deliver with confidence scalable, measurable, knowledge-based forecasting, per reporting period.
Manage strategy including customer selection, competing and priority business decisions, customer onboarding, monitoring and performance evaluation, deal qualification and support.
Target customers that are in GreaseBoss’ “target market" to ensure the correct customers are being sold to.
Travel as required for daily business, this Is not for an office minded employee
Plan longer travel journeys with management
Schedule regular attendance at the Birtinya office - Sunshine Coast - Queensland, 1 week every six (6) weeks
Utilise HubSpot as the CRM with detail, timeliness, and accuracy to ensure accurate metrics are being captured and reported on and to enable effective cross-functional collaboration to deliver successful customer outcomes.
Effectively map stakeholders and positions of influence within deals to efficiently close deals.
Maintain and update all relevant sales documentation and records.
Attend weekly sales meetings and casual stand-ups to ensure accountability, coordination, and productivity across the sales team.
Report directly to the CRO and collaborate closely with the executive team.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company growth targets, including direct approach sales and existing network
Identify and qualify new business opportunities within the agreed target market.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in prospective customer and distributor organisations.
Prepare and present compelling sales proposals and presentations to potential customers.
Negotiate to secure profitable business deals.
Collaborate with the marketing and customer success teams to develop targeted campaigns and materials to support business development efforts and distributor training and support.
Analyse market trends and competitor activities to inform business and product development strategies.
Monitor and report on sales metrics, providing regular updates to the CRO and executive team.
Ensure that all business activities comply with company policies and legal requirements, and manage any risks associated.
Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote GreaseBoss and generate leads.
Key Performance Metrics
Internal collaboration and communication effectiveness within the sales team and cross functionally within GreaseBoss.
Participation and engagement in weekly sales meetings and daily stand-ups.
Participation and engagement in GreaseBoss company activities and positive contribution to GreaseBoss expected values and behaviours
Number of qualified new opportunities brought into the sales pipeline each month.
Number and value of proposals sent to potential qualified customers each month.
Monthly sales figures, with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets (Annual recurring revenue sales amounts, prioritised over one-off hardware sales figures.)
Conversion rate of leads to closed deals.
Customer onboarding success, satisfaction and retention rates post-implementation of the GreaseBoss system.
Accuracy and timeliness of CRM data entry and reporting.
Quality and effectiveness of sales presentations and proposals.
Desired Skills
Proven experience in new business development, sales, or a related field, preferably within the technology or industrial/mining sectors.
Strong understanding of sales processes and methodologies and their role within a business, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Strong understanding of value and ROI solution business including enablement material and processes.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
Proficiency in using CRM software, particularly HubSpot.
Analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to identify, prioritise and capitalise on business opportunities.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-driven approach.
Knowledge of the Australian market and industry trends related to lubrication and automation, IOT deliverables.
