Environmental & Laboratory Solutions (ELS) is an established health and safety consultancy that provides a comprehensive range of health, safety, occupational hygiene, environmental and risk management consultancy, and training services throughout Australia.

ELS is looking for an Accounts Payable Officer to join our team in Newmarket, QLD!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Collect, compile & process supplier invoices as per relevant procedures

Regularly communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders regarding accounts payable costs and transactions for correct entry

Undertake daily bank feed processing and reconciliations

Analyse, identify & correct monthly supplier statements including Credit Card statements

Liaise with the Administration Manager regarding payments and cashflow

Conduct sample receipt process (co-share task with Accounts Receivable)

Coordinate physical samples for testing at external labs and manage their corresponding invoices

Schedule and manage a wide variety of EOM, non-regular and ad hoc bookkeeping and administrative tasks including self-audit review and reporting

You shall have a high level of attention to detail,

A high level of planning, organizing and time management skills,

Can transmit instructions to others clearly and concisely,

Show initiative and can work both independently and as part of a team,

Can think critically and outside the box for innovative solutions to stakeholder requirements, and

Engage in positivity and mindfulness with an interest in continual development.

The hours will typically be 8:30am – 5pm Monday to Friday although will vary depending on daily tasks & workload.

The ideal candidate will need to have:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role,

Cert IV or higher in Bookkeeping,

Experience with MYOB,

Intermediate MS Office skills,

Industry knowledge is an advantage but not essential,

A mature approach to the prioritisation of urgent duties.
