The Opportunity
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team.
Reporting to the Finance and Payroll Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day processing of supplier invoices, credit card reconciliations, and petty cash, ensuring financial accuracy across all transactions. You’ll also provide support and training to credit card holders, contribute to finance procedure improvements, and help maintain strong internal systems and controls.
Key Responsibilities
Process supplier invoices for weekly payment runs
Check and upload credit card transactions, follow up on missing information, and assist with monthly reconciliations
Maintain the credit card register and issue/cancel cards as required
Administer and reconcile petty cash transactions
Monitor the finance inbox and respond to internal queries
Assist with updates to finance procedures and documentation
Support other finance-related duties as required
What we’re looking for
Essential
Proven experience in an Accounts Payable or similar finance role
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
Ability to manage high transaction volumes and meet deadlines
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Experience using accounting packages
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Eligible for a Blue Card and Suitability Check (QLD)
Desirable
Experience with MYOB or similar systems
Knowledge of finance practices in a regulated or care-based organisation
