About the opportunity
The Financial Business Systems team within Financial Services is responsible for the management of the University’s core financial systems. The team provides user support, training and system administration functions, as well as reporting, development and continuous improvement capability across all financial administrative functions within the University.
The Finance Systems Officer within Financial Services will be required to work within a team environment with a significant client focus and will contribute to the efficient operation of the University’s core financial systems. This role involves providing user support, training and system administration. Additionally, the officer will support senior staff in documenting, analysing, and reviewing business processes to enhance service delivery and performance.
What you’ll do:
- Provide advice and support for maintaining the University’s finance system applications, including testing, user administration, security, performance monitoring, and compliance with internal controls.
- Conduct regular system management tasks, such as monitoring operational processes and logs, running end-of-month and end-of-year processes, and monitoring interfaces.
- Offer technical assistance to users regarding the operation of financial systems.
- Assist in the maintenance and development of financial information assets and systems including users and financial delegations.
- Support senior staff in documenting, analysing, and reviewing business processes to enhance service delivery and performance.
What we’re looking for:
To be successful in the role, your application will need to demonstrate;
- Proven experience in the development, implementation and maintenance of complex accounting applications systems in large organisations, including associated manuals and documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and provide assistance in the use of software applications to a diverse range of employees.
- Experience in training and instruction in the use of application systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of accounting and financial management.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 5 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $102,190 comprising base salary within the range of $78,210 to $87,342 plus 17% superannuation.
