Our client is a leading provider of electrical and mechanical maintenance solutions to the food and beverage, packaging and manufacturing industries.

At present, they are on the hunt for experienced Mechanical/Maintenance Fitters to join their team on a contract/casual basis to assist with servicing a portfolio of clients throughout the South East and Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. The positions will primarily involve performing preventative and reactive/breakdown maintenance, providing technical support to various manufacturing sites, as well as some project work.

To be successful in these positions, you will be expected to demonstrate:

• Formal Trade qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter or similar
• Previous experience in performing planned and reactive maintenance
• Hands-on experience with Pneumatics and Hydraulics
• Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings
• A restricted Disconnect/Reconnect Electrical Licence will be highly regarded
• Strong commitment towards WHS
• Full Driver's License with clean driving history
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with analytical thinking and logical decision-making ability
• Experience in a manufacturing environment (Food and beverage, Dairy, Pharmaceutical, etc.) will be looked upon favourably

These are vital roles with a great deal of autonomy and responsibility. You will need to be customer service-oriented with a focus on achieving positive outcomes for the business and the customers. Ideally, you will have experience working within a similar industry/position and hands-on experience in technical troubleshooting of manufacturing plant and equipment.
