About the Role:

We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Industrial Mechanical Fitter. This role involves service & breakdown work, shift coverage, installation projects, and fabrication, with a specific focus on plastics manufacturing equipment including blow moulding machines and conveyor systems.

Essential Criteria:

· Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate

· Strong knowledge of workplace health & safety regulations

· Effective & efficient problem-solving skills with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

· Competency in welding (MIG, electric arc, oxy/acetylene) and fabrication techniques

· Experience in industrial manufacturing environments, especially plastics

· Ability to work autonomously and in a team, with strong time management skills

Highly Regarded:

· Forklift & Boom Licence

· Direct experience with blow moulding equipment

· Expertise in conveyor maintenance and FMCG equipment

Responsibilities:

· Participate in workplace projects as required

· Promote a safe working environment focused on productivity & job satisfaction

· Contribute to prompt rectification of production breakdowns

· Monitor, follow up, and address planned & unplanned maintenance tasks

· Actively inspect equipment

· Proactively perform Preventative Maintenance, particularly on blow moulding and conveyor systems
