The Opportunities
We are currently seeking experienced Maintenance Electricians and Maintenance Fitters to join our team at the Tongala processing facility. Operating for over 30 years, this site processes large volumes of cattle, with a strong focus on export markets.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, these roles will form part of a dynamic and skilled maintenance team, supporting ongoing production and continuous improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Electrician:
Perform fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on electrical systems and controls.
Preventive and reactive maintenance on equipment and automation systems.
Work with Allen-Bradley PLCs, electric motor control, VSDs, and relay logic systems.
Support safe and efficient plant operations, including after-hours and weekend work.
Maintenance Fitter:
Preventive and breakdown maintenance across site machinery and equipment.
Complete capital works and installation of new equipment and systems.
Work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and packaging machinery.
Perform welding and fabrication work (highly regarded).
What You Will Bring
A relevant trade qualification (Electrical License / Fitting / Mechanical / Plumbing).
Experience in manufacturing, food processing, or similar industrial settings.
Understanding of safe work practices and ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Forklift license (desirable).
Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication skills.
A proactive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
