We are on the search for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our well-established and respected metal manufacturing client site located in Thomastown. This is a full-time temp-to-perm opportunity, ideal for a trade-qualified fitter with a hands-on approach to mechanical maintenance.

Pay Rate: $40.29 per hour
Location: Thomastown, VIC
Hours: Monday to Friday | 8-hour shift | Flexible start (any time between 7 am-10 am)

About the Role:

You'll be responsible for conducting preventative and reactive maintenance on a wide range of production equipment, working closely with operators to diagnose issues and drive improvements across the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance
• Fault-find and repair mechanical systems quickly and effectively
• Work alongside production teams to minimise downtime
• Support equipment improvements and upgrades
• Maintain workshop safety and cleanliness
• Complete routine reports and documentation
• Ensure plant equipment runs reliably and efficiently

To succeed in this role :

• Hands-on experience in an industrial maintenance setting
• Mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• Previous welding fabrication experience will be looked upon favourably
• Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics is beneficial
• Valid Australian driver's licence
