BCA Engineers consult on a variety of projects, including but not limited to, hospitals, shopping centres, multi-story apartments, defense facilities, schools and residential infrastructure.

We are currently seeking a Design Mechanical Engineer and Revit Modeler, with building services experience and a relevant qualification, to join our rapidly growing diverse and dynamic Melbourne team.

Skills and Experience:

At least 5 years local industry experience in Mechanical Engineering design and documentation (within Australia)

Applicants that have completed qualifications in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution and are eligible for membership as an Engineer with Engineers Australia would be desired (but not essential)

Experience using BIM 360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud

Inter disciplinary model clash detection and coordination using Navisworks

Mechanical Design Drafting such as system layouts, ductwork sizing, grille selections, static pressure & building pressurisation calculations, air/water side schematics and the like

Ability to work closely with your peers and be a Team player

Show initiative and have excellent time management skills to meet deadlines

Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent written and oral commercial communication skills

Undertake tasks as directed by Senior Engineers / Directors including undertaking research and calculations.

Attend design consultancy meetings on an as required basis

Familiarisation with all relevant Australian Standards and Codes

Prepare concept development plans, schematic designs, detailed designs and building services plans to suit project requirements

Ability to undertake heat load calculations would be desirable.

Project Site management and services coordination

Experience with all aspects of Building Services is desirable

Senior Technical Officers with extensive experience are also encouraged to apply
