About the Role

We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our growing team. This newly created position is based in our Melbourne Northwest office and offers excellent career development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a complex payroll and EBA’s
• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Rolling out and managing a new application that will be used by employees
• Job costing, and bookkeeping using Xero
• Reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with regulations

About You

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with:

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role with commercial and business awareness
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Xero
• Experience with complex payroll and EBAs
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Excellent communication
