About the role

Darlington Point Sports Club is seeking an experienced and dedicated Secretary Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our thriving community club. As a full-time role based in Darlington Point, NSW, you will be responsible for the strategic management and administration of the club, ensuring it runs efficiently and provides an exceptional experience for our members and guests.

What you'll be doing

• Providing strategic leadership and direction to ensure the club's objectives are met
• Overseeing all administrative and financial operations, including budgeting, bookkeeping, and reporting
• Managing staff, including rostering, training, and performance management
• Developing and implementing policies and procedures to improve club operations
• Fostering strong relationships with members, suppliers, and the local community
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant industry regulations and legislation
• Identifying and pursuing new revenue streams and business opportunities

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a similar Secretary Manager or senior management role within the hospitality or sports club industry
• Strong financial management and business acumen, with the ability to interpret financial reports and make data-driven decisions
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
• Thorough understanding of the regulatory and compliance requirements in the hospitality and sports club industry
• Proactive and strategic mindset, with the ability to identify and capitalise on new opportunities
