Direct to Consumer Sales and Marketing Manager - Thomas Wines
Thomas Wines is one of the Hunter Valley’s most renowned winemakers, nationally and internationally acclaimed for our exceptional, single-vineyard Hunter Valley wines, many of which have become modern benchmarks for the region.
Our first vintage was produced in 1997, with an absolute focus on producing world-class examples of the two signature varieties of the Hunter Valley, Semillon and Shiraz.
A unique opportunity has arisen to join our management team in the pivotal role of Direct to Consumer Sales and Marketing Manager.
Working closely alongside the owner/winemaker, our ideal candidate will take ownership of driving the sales and marketing strategies for all our DTC channels including our Cellar Door and Wine Club.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the annual DTC marketing plan aligned with brand and business objectives.
Oversee customer acquisition and retention strategies for our Wine Club and mailing list.
Plan and execute multi-channel campaigns (email, social media, content marketing, paid media) to drive online and cellar door sales.
Lead content creation and storytelling initiatives, including newsletters, social media, website updates, and print collateral.
Copywriting for socials and scheduling content on social media
Manage our website and digital assets to ensure seamless customer experience and strong conversion.
Analyse campaign/channel performance and customer insights to inform future strategies.
Collaborate with cellar door and winemaking teams to deliver exceptional events and experiences that deepen customer engagement.
Manage marketing budget and coordinate external partners (designers, photographers, agencies) as required.
About You
Minimum 3 years’ experience in marketing, ideally in wine, hospitality, luxury goods, or premium consumer products.
Proven experience developing and executing successful DTC campaigns that drive growth and loyalty.
Experience with Shopify and Winehub preferred but not required.
Strong understanding of digital marketing, CRM, and e-commerce best practices.
Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills with an eye for brand consistency.
Data-driven mindset with experience in using analytics to optimise performance.
Proactive, creative, and able to thrive in a small, collaborative team environment.
Passion for wine and connecting with customers - WSET or wine knowledge a plus.
Experience using Canva or Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign).
Project management (Trello or similar).
People management skills.
RSA certification.
