Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm ONSITE.

Housed in an iconic warehouse beneath the Harbour Bridge, we provide more than just workspace, we foster connection, creativity, and community. Bay Ten Espresso is also a Wok inc owned operation and is a haven for locals and members for great food, drink and meeting space.

We're now on the hunt for a capable, energetic, and people-focused Operations Manager to help lead our team (across Work inc and Bay Ten Espresso) and drive day-to-day excellence across sales, member experience, and building operations.

The Role

The Operations Manager plays a central role in setting the daily rhythm at Work inc. You’ll be responsible for making sure our members feel supported, our spaces and cafe operates seamlessly, and our team performs at its best. This is a hands-on role that calls for someone who’s not just organised and people-focused, but also adaptable, proactive, and perceptive. To succeed here, you’ll need to show strong initiative, trust your intuition, and bring resilience to navigate the fast-paced and ever-changing nature of a thriving coworking community.

Key Responsibilities

Member Experience & Retention

Be the front-facing contact for new and existing members, owning the full lifecycle from onboarding to exit.

Build meaningful relationships with business owners and connect members to foster collaboration.

Manage feedback loops and oversee a program of community events (3 major + 3 minor annually).

Ensure member satisfaction is consistently high by resolving queries and issues quickly.

People & Team Management

Lead and support three direct reports (Community Manager, Facilities Manager, Café Manager), ensuring strong performance, growth, and team morale.

Conduct monthly check-ins and performance reviews.

Oversee staff rostering and recruitment as needed.

Create a positive team culture aligned with Work inc’s values.

Sales & Growth

Drive member acquisition through inbound and outbound leads, including walk-ins and CRM management (Pipedrive).

Conduct space tours and confidently present membership options and benefits.

Support creation of sales proposals and internal reporting on occupancy and pipeline metrics.

Collaborate with the Brand Manager on sales messaging, event promotion, and digital campaigns.

Overseeing Bay Ten Espresso growth, operations, financials and team.

What You’ll Bring

10+ years’ experience in an operational / hospitality or community-focused leadership role.

Strong interpersonal skills, you genuinely enjoy working with people.

Commercial awareness and ability to drive business outcomes without sacrificing member experience.

Hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail.

Comfortable with tech tools including CRM software (like Pipedrive) and project systems, such as Jira and Asana.
