Location Services provides trusted location data and spatial services to support the management and development of Western Australia to benefit the community. Earth Observation creates and maintains the State's foundational location information, explores advanced earth observation and delivers remote sensing services to customers.
About the roles
Lead Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) Consultant:
The Lead AI/ML Consultant explores the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to processes, products and services within Landgate. This role supports and oversees the delivery of services to customers, including specialised and customised integration of imagery and location information; analysis and integration of spatial data in appropriate imagery and geographic information systems; and data extraction and delivery.
Imagery Analyst:
The Imagery Analyst role provides expert SME support to CaptureWA and Spatial WA and other stakeholders with respect to capture, processing, delivery and use of high-resolution imagery datasets for 3D surface and 3D object creation for spatial digital twins and other purposes.
We currently have one Permanent Lead AI/ML position and one Permanent Imagery Analyst position available. These are Permanent Full-Time position, however Part Time arrangements may be considered.

Role Requirements
To be successful in the Lead AI/ML Consultant L6 role, please demonstrate:
Substantial experience with development and application of machine learning techniques to solve real world problems with a strong preference for experience using imagery / spatial datasets in model development and application.
Your well-developed communication skills and experience to clearly explain complex concepts to a variety of individuals and groups.
Your ability to deliver work programs and projects that; meet technical specifications, are achieved within budget and agreed timelines, and align with customer expectations.
Your ability to lead and train others in technical roles while maintaining an expert level of skill and knowledge of emerging AI/ML technologies.
To be successful in the Imagery Analyst L6 role, please demonstrate:
Significant accumulated experience in capture, processing, and use of high-resolution imagery datasets, preferably for 3D surface and 3D object creation for spatial digital twins.
Significant accumulated experience with roles where collaborative approaches to solution development and implementation were key to success.
Your well-developed communication skills and experience to clearly explain complex concepts to a variety of individuals and groups.
Your ability to deliver work programs and projects that; meet technical specifications, are achieved within budget and agreed timelines, and align with customer expectations.
