We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Leading Hand to join our team at our brand-new manufacturing facility in Rocklea. In this key role, you’ll support the Manufacturing Supervisor to lead and coordinate a team of factory employees and subcontractors, ensuring that workflows are organised efficiently and that production runs smoothly. Your focus will be on helping deliver high-quality modular buildings in line with the Production Schedule—on time and to standard—while maintaining a safe, productive, and profitable manufacturing environment. What You Will Do
You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility. More specifically, you will:

Lead and coordinate factory staff and subcontractors to ensure buildings are assembled in line with the Production Schedule.

Monitor stock levels and ensure tools and equipment are safely used, well-maintained, and compliant.

Oversee quality control activities, including visual checks, progress photography, and final walkthrough inspections.

Liaise with manufacturing, contracts, and hire yard teams to manage factory layout and the flow of completed modules.

Assist with month-end stocktakes and support labour teams with daily tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

Foster a positive team culture by motivating staff and encouraging high-quality, efficient work.

What You Will Bring

We are looking for someone who shares our values and belief that agility, integrity, caring, collaboration and safety underpins all the work we do.

To hit the ground running, you will bring:

Construction knowledge, ideally from a trade background – carpentry preferred.

Skilled in reading plans and carrying out repairs or modifications with or without detailed specs.

Hands-on experience operating forklifts up to 16 tonne, with dogging and working at heights certifications.

Quick to learn systems and processes, with confident use of Microsoft Office and reporting tools.

Strong communicator and team player, able to build positive working relationships across teams.

Highly self-motivated, with strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Additional certifications a plus, including Cert IV in Building & Construction, rigging, test and tag, first aid, and fire warden.
